What the pilot stores
C++ Forge stores the identity supplied by the sign-in provider, course enrollment, saved code, progress, quiz attempts and grades, and conversations with the learning coach. The platform needs this information to restore work, grade activities, and let authorized instructors support their students.
Who can see it
Students can access their own learning records. Authorized instructors and administrators can access records for courses they manage. Server-side checks enforce those boundaries; changing browser code does not change permission.
Service providers
The pilot uses Cloudflare for application hosting and data storage and Clerk for authentication. A separately isolated code runner receives submitted source code. Sentry and PostHog are optional and remain disabled unless the site administrator configures them.
Retention and requests
Course and grade retention must be set by the institution before a production class launch. Until that policy is approved and automated, students should ask their instructor or site administrator about access, correction, export, or deletion requests.
